Description

A quick and flavorful spicy ramen recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package ramen noodles
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 soft-boiled egg, halved
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup cooked chicken or tofu (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook ramen noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the gochujang is dissolved.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Pour the broth mixture over the cooked ramen noodles in a bowl.
  6. Top with the halved soft-boiled egg, sliced green onion, and cooked chicken or tofu if desired.

Notes
