- 1 package ramen noodles
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 soft-boiled egg, halved
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup cooked chicken or tofu (optional)
Instructions
- Cook ramen noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the gochujang is dissolved.
- Simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Pour the broth mixture over the cooked ramen noodles in a bowl.
- Top with the halved soft-boiled egg, sliced green onion, and cooked chicken or tofu if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of gochujang and red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
- For a vegetarian option, use vegetable broth and tofu.
