Description

A quick and flavorful spicy ramen noodle soup recipe.


Ingredients

  • 1 package instant ramen noodles
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha or other hot sauce, adjust to taste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 egg, soft-boiled or fried
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup cooked protein, such as chicken, tofu, or pork (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped vegetables, such as bok choy, spinach, or mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook ramen noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, combine broth, soy sauce, sriracha, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Pour the broth mixture over the cooked ramen noodles in a bowl.
  5. Top with a soft-boiled or fried egg, sliced green onions, and optional protein and vegetables.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer broth, use bone broth.
  • Add a dash of sesame oil for extra flavor.
  • Adjust sriracha amount for desired spice level.
