Description

A simple and satisfying skillet dish featuring meatballs and melted mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add meatballs to the skillet and brown on all sides.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
  7. Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C).
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the meatballs are cooked through.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
