Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add meatballs to the skillet and brown on all sides.
- Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs. Bring to a simmer.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the meatballs are cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
- You can use pre-made meatballs to save time.
