Festive and fun Grinch-themed cookies perfect for the holidays.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Green food coloring
- Red candy melts
- Heart-shaped sprinkles
Instructions
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Divide dough in half. Tint one half green with food coloring.
- Chill both doughs for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll green dough into small balls. Flatten slightly.
- Press a small amount of plain dough onto the green dough to create the Grinch’s face shape.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
- Melt red candy melts according to package directions.
- Dip the bottom of each cookie into the melted candy melts.
- Immediately add heart-shaped sprinkles for the Grinch’s heart.
- Let the candy melts set completely.
Notes
- For a stronger green color, add more food coloring.
- Ensure cookies are completely cool before dipping in candy melts.
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
