Description

A simple cookie mix recipe that makes a great gift.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a jar, layer the ingredients in the following order: flour, baking soda, salt, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and chocolate chips.
  2. Seal the jar tightly.
  3. To make cookies, empty the jar contents into a bowl. Add 1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter and 1 large egg. Mix until just combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 9-11 minutes, or until golden brown.
