- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 medium apple, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a small baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, maple syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apple.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until set and lightly golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with extra caramel sauce or a dollop of whipped cream.
- You can substitute pears for apples if desired.
- For a richer flavor, use whole milk.
