Description

A warm and comforting baked oatmeal dish with caramel, apple, and cinnamon flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a small baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, maple syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apple.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until set and lightly golden.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with extra caramel sauce or a dollop of whipped cream.
  • You can substitute pears for apples if desired.
  • For a richer flavor, use whole milk.
