Description

A simple and comforting broccoli cheese casserole recipe.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook broccoli according to package directions until tender-crisp. Drain well.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and cheddar cheese. Stir until well combined.
  4. Add the drained broccoli to the soup mixture and stir to coat.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder to the cheese mixture.
  • If using fresh broccoli, you can steam or boil it until tender-crisp.
