Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup finely diced apple

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, applesauce, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the diced apple.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, flattening each one into a thin chip.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the chips are firm.
  8. Let the chips cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
