A quick and easy pasta dish perfect for when you need a meal in minutes.
Ingredients

- 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Do not let it burn.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter.
- Toss to coat the pasta.
- Add Parmesan cheese and a splash of the reserved pasta water. Toss until the cheese melts and creates a light sauce. Add more pasta water if needed to reach desired consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer sauce, you can add a tablespoon of heavy cream.
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese will give you the best flavor.
