5-Minute Lazy Girl Pasta with Garlic Parmesan

Description

A quick and easy pasta dish perfect for when you need a meal in minutes.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Do not let it burn.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter.
  5. Toss to coat the pasta.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese and a splash of the reserved pasta water. Toss until the cheese melts and creates a light sauce. Add more pasta water if needed to reach desired consistency.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer sauce, you can add a tablespoon of heavy cream.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese will give you the best flavor.
